Willkommen auf der ECMTA Website!

ECMTA (Gesellschaft europäischer Kammermusik-Lehrer) ist ein Netzwerk, das sich für eine stärkere Wahrnehmung und ein besseres Image der Kammermusiklehre und –darbietung einsetzt – sowohl in der Musikszene als auch bei gesellschaftlichen, kulturellen und politischen Handlungsträgern in Europa.

ECMTA heißt institutionelle ebenso wie private Mitglieder herzlich willkommen und vertritt zurzeit Lehrer in mehr als 16 Ländern. ECMTA ist ein wichtiges Forum, um sich zu informieren, Meinungen auszutauschen, in Kontakt zu bleiben und die Kammermusik lebendig zu halten.

The next general meeting will take place in Tallinn at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre on May 4-6 2012, in parallel with the International Student Chamber Music Festival. The festival, which began in 1966 as a Baltic country project, has been more recently organized every two years also with non-Baltic partners.

In additions to the events of the festival – masterclasses, student concerts, conferences – ECMTA will be organizing its usual members’ forum, round tables, and of course the general meeting.  Inscription forms will be available in January. Inscription for ECMTA members is free! Non-members must pay 30 euros, but this fee can be used as a downpayment on membership fees if you should choose to join later.
