ECMTA - European Chamber Music Teachers´Association (Gesellschaft europäischer Kammermusik-Lehrer)
Die Mission der Gesellschaft ist die gemeinnützige Förderung von Kammermusik-aktivitäten und -Bildung in Europa. Für diesen Grund wird die Gesellschaft Kammermusik-Aktivitäten, wie zum Beispiel Kurse, Bildungsveranstaltungen und Konferenzen organizieren und ebenfalls pädagogische Materialien editieren und mit anderen Musikinstituten kooperien. Die Gesellschaft wird Vorschläge machen und Initiativen starten, um das Ansehen von Kammermusik-Aktivitäten zu erhöhen.
Die ECMTA-Gesellschaft besteht sowohl aus institutionellen als auch aus privaten MItgliedern. Die Gesellschaft organiziert die Verwaltung und Registrierung und gibt Informationen über die in Zukunft stattfindenden Aktivitäten.
Die Gesellschaft äussert ihren Wunsch mit anderen pädagogischen Einrichtungen wie EPTA, ESTA, EVTA, AEC und weiteren europäischen Musikschulen und Konservatorien zusammenzuarbeiten.

Please note: due to budget restraints, the dates and program of the Festival have been slightly modified: this gathering will take place from Friday evening September 24 to Monday afternoon September 27. The next "gathering" of the ECMTA will take place September 24-27 2010, during the Ascoli Piceno Festival in Italy. ECMTA members will be admitted free of charge to all festival events, and thematic discussions will be organised with festival artists. Discussion will include the creation of a work group for the design of chamber music curricula.
An open stage is planned in which all members who so desire may participate. And as always, members may propose to give a presentation about their current or future projects. Assistance with transportation and lodging may be possible.

Please note: the next General Meeting will take place at the Conservatorio 'Santa Cecilia' in Rome (and not at the Accademia, as previously announced).
