In Time 2010! (Ajassa 2010!) festival

Helsinki, Metropolia University of Applied Science 14.3. - 20.3. 2010.

The crossover- festival "In Time 2010! " focuses its attention on modern chamber music. The program includes works by Baric, Pietilä, Toikka, Matthus, Schubert, Bartok, Vores, Fukushima, Bahk, Alain Weber, Cage, Nordgren, Safronov, Mellnäs, Loecke, Silvestrini, Rechberger, Räisänen, Tiensuu, Bäck, Kagel, Puro, Poulenc, Hartley, Jokinen, Bergman, Mozart.

Modern jazz, old music, performances for children and a great deal of improvisation, are all part of the week’s program. During the entire festival there will also also be a exhibition of Marko Puro´s photos from the chamber music camp Ajassa 2010!, where rehearsals for the main part of the  program began. The camp was organised in Muonio, Lappland in October 2009.

Most concerts will take place in the concert hall of  Helsinki Concervatory, Ruoholahdentori 6, Helsinki, but some performances are also to be heard  in artgalleries Forum Box, Kalhama&Piippo, and the restaurant Allotria in Helsinki.

The  performers are chambermusic students of Metropolia University of Applied Science, alumns, guests and teachers of  that University.
