October 5-7, 2018 the Zhiganov Kazan State Conservatoire will hold the International Chamber Ensemble Workshop dedicated to the 100th anniversary of T.A. Gaidamovich.
The workshop is supported by: Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, The Chamber Music Association of the Music Workers' International Union, N.G. Zhiganov Kazan State Conservatoire and the European Chamber Music Teachers´ Association (ЕСМТА)
The Chamber Ensemble Workshop features:
- Master classes: leading professors from Russia and Europe will share their unique pedagogical and performance experience with young musicians (October 5-7, 2018 Conservatoire classes)
- Theory and practice seminar «Musical and pedagogical heritage and contemporary chamber performance practice: to the 100 Anniversary of T.A. Gaidamovich» (October 6, 2018, 10.00, Conference-hall, Conservatoire Main building)
- Concerts: Masters of chamber ensemble performance (October 5, 18.30, Saidashev Great Concert Hall), Chamber ensembles– participants of master classes (October 7, 14.00, Maly Zal/Small Hall, Conservatoire Main building)

Teachers, students, concertmasters and accompanists of higher and secondary special educational institutions, children's music schools are invited to participate in the Workshop.
Master classes are held in the following categories:
• chamber ensembles with keyboard (piano, organ, harpsichord) and string instruments, pianos and wind instruments (duets, trios, piano quartets, piano quintets);
• piano duets;
• string quartets.
Tatiana Alekseevna Gaidamovich was an Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Arts, Professor of the P.I. Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, and the Moscow Prize winner, a scholar and an educator, head of the History and Performance Art Department. During her career as a professor, she trained a great number of ensembles - winners of international and All-Russian competitions.
For a long time, T.A. Gaidamovich was the President of the Chamber Music Association of the Music Workers' International Union. Under the auspices of the Association, all-Russian and international chamber ensemble competitions, including the International Taneev Competition, competitions in Novomoskovsk, Krasnoyarsk, Krasnodar and other cities were organized. Tatyana Alekseevna was the initiator and the head of the Higher Chamber Ensemble Training Courses, which were held since 1990 in Moscow, Donetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, and Kazan. The courses are an important platform for finding new ways of improving the teaching of the Chamber Ensemble discipline in higher musical institutions, colleges, and music schools.
The International Chamber Ensemble Workshop dedicated to the 100th anniversary of T.A. Gaidamovich follows the tradition of the Higher Chamber Ensemble Training Courses. The main objectives are: developing international relations, fostering creative collaborations and sharing knowledge and experience.
